{"id":7088,"date":"2019-10-10T07:42:16","date_gmt":"2019-10-10T07:42:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.skyswitch.com\/?p=7088"},"modified":"2021-09-08T16:52:52","modified_gmt":"2021-09-08T16:52:52","slug":"ucaas-small-big","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/skyswitch.com\/blog\/ucaas-small-big\/","title":{"rendered":"In UCaaS, Small is Big"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A new report and podcast from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.idc.com\/about\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Amy Lind,&nbsp;Research Manager with IDC\u2019s Communications Services practice<\/a>, has everyone talking about the &#8220;hidden&#8221; opportunity in UCaaS &#8211; SMBs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Just today,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/blog.tmcnet.com\/blog\/rich-tehrani\/unified-communications\/the-ucaas-opportunity-is-at-the-smb.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rich Tehrani from TMC observed&nbsp;<\/a>how selling to SMBs creates more value for white label resellers:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>As we\u2019ve told you&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/blog.tmcnet.com\/blog\/rich-tehrani\/unified-communications\/vectors-exclusive-keynote-big-business-is-good-but-small-business-is-better.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">before,<\/a>&nbsp;white-label in UCaaS and cloud phone systems can double the margins for resellers \u2013 perhaps from 20% to 40% and also increase the valuation of the reseller. The reason for the valuation bump has to do with the fact the reseller owns the relationship in this scenario so this revenue is more valuable to an acquirer.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And Peter Radizeski tweeted:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Amy Lind at IDC has her 2020 <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/UCaaS?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">#UCaaS<\/a> Market report for Resellers out titled Big Is Good, Small Customers Are Better. She reiterates what I have been saying: sweet spot for UC is Small Biz.
